Headed off to the GMC DIY Challenge

GMC partnered up with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and DIY expert Brad Pennington of MoCa Handcrafted to host three teams of DIY influencers (i.e. me) to create one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture upcycled from salvaged materials from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Each team is provided with $500 to purchase materials, a GMC vehicle (I got this Sierra) and a studio space in LA to do the actual building. The final pieces will be donated to Habitat for Humanity LA for use in one of their Los Angeles-area homes, and one of those pieces will be selected by a panel of judges as the winner. Prices include a $500 gift card for future DIY projects and a special. secret prize they won’t reveal until the end of the event.
